15 Sept. 2006: Buddhist Datsan Ivolginski

In the frames of the Onomastik conference we visited the Buddhist Monastery Ivolginski Datsan.

	The Datsan is situated in a plain steppe, in front of the Chaban-Daban-Gebirge, 35 km in the south-west of Ulan-Ude. It is the biggest Datsan in Russia or in the domain of the former Soviet Union.
A lama showed us the Datsan.
Again everywhere those colorful bands
A lot of prayer wheels
Big temples
Animal kingdom
Building lots
Small stands for tourists
